Are you a good friend or great friend?

Hello everyone! How is your Saturday? Mine is great and with this new stamp, it could be better. Today I want to show you a funny stamp that I found in the new releases this month. I decided to create a wine tag to decorate a bottle of wine that I brought to a friends reunion.

The stamp that I used to create my tag is Good Friends Know and it's under the Snarky category, a very special category that you have to check out.

Now I want to show you how I make my tag. The first thing that I did was cut the base of the tag in marina mist cardstock and two Deco Labels in two different sizes and colors, real red and sahara sand.

Then I stamped the sentiment over the smaller deco label using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

And using the deco label as a frame, with sponge and classic ink in early espresso for the real red and marina mist for the sahara sand, I sponged the borders lightly.

I embossed the base of the base of the tag with a Circle Background Embossing Folder and cut the bottom in a fish tail. Using a circle framelit, I cut a circle on top and rounded the corners with a punch, then I scored in 2-1/2". The final size of the tag depends of the size of your bottle. Mine is 3"x8-3/4".

I overlapped the deco labels and pasted over the base. To finalize the decoration I Inked some chipboards with music notes forms from Unique Laser Design with Distress Ink Black Soot and pasted these over the tag using a liquid glue.

I added some other details like washi tape with music theme, thick baker's twine and red sequins.

Then I just enjoyed the bottle of wine with my great friends!

  3. Such a cute idea! You could even fix these ahead of time to have them on hand for picking up wine on the way.
