My box of goodies! |
See the swirls on the wedding dress and at the bottom of the tux? I was REALLY worried that they wouldn't turn out very well so as soon as I ripped my box open I HAD to zippy quick try them out. I have been DYING to see what they would look like if I embossed them on a dark background, so I grabbed a piece of scrap paper, my Versa Mark and silver embossing powder and went to work.
Look at how gorgeous they turned out! This was just a zippy quick slap it on some paper and go...and did I mention I left the lid of the Versa Mark off ALL NIGHT LONG!?! (It totally worked the next morning too!)
I did all of this on Wednesday and I haven't had a chance to "play" until this evening. I need to do some card swaps up for our Retreat so I thought I would see if I could come up with a nifty card to share with the ladies.
I wanted to use both the bride and the groom stamp, but it didn't work out that way. Which was perfectly fine, because she is stunning just as a stand alone!
How beautiful is she?! I am not sure if you can see ALL the detail, I am horrible at taking pictures and this was taken using my phone! (GASP!)
I embossed the black background paper to give it a bit more texture and placed her on some silver glitter paper, which totally makes her POP! I had a hard time with the ribbon. The white was just SO plain so I thought jazzing it up a bit with some rhinestones down the middle would make it look a bit more sparkly!
For the inside, I embossed the Congratulations in the same silver and then I used the bottom swirls of the wedding dress to dress up the edges of the inside AND I did the same with the envelope. It just adds a bit of elegance that I LOVE!
All in all, these stamps were worth the wait! Miss Devon outdid herself with the bride and groom and I think they are definitely going into my Suzy's Favorite List!
If you would like to take these lovely stamps home you can find them on our website:
If you end up making something stunning with the stamps, PLEASE share your photos with us! I would love to see them in action!
I guess my procrastination time is over with. I have 7 more of these cards to make and I better get my butt in gear if I am going to finish them before the hubby gets home. =)
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
