Do You Hear It, Too?

When you think of that wonderful comfort food, potatoes, what do you hear inside of your head?

Po-ta-to? Po-tat-o? Or do you ACTUALLY hear, "Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew."

If it's the latter then you, my friend, must be a Lord of the Rings fan.  If you have no clue what I am talking about, then you may want to find 12 uninterrupted hours, order in some pizza, pop some corn and settle in for an EPIC journey!

Or you can just check out our latest Happiness Is...card and trust me that the movies are AMAZING!

Lord of the Rings is a very important tradition in my household or perhaps I should say Tolkien in.  From the books, to the cartoons and to the movies from Peter Jackson, LOTR has been a staple in my family.  As a matter of fact, my mother was "this" close to naming me Pippin.   Might I just add that my initials would have been PMS if she had...Thank you, Mom, for settling on Suzanne instead.

In high school, one of my dear friends would religiously sing, "Frodo of the nine fingers and the ring of doom", complete with yarble!  When the movies came out in the theater, my mother, best friend, the yarble singing "Hobbit" and my children, were there in line at the first showing.  When they came out on DVD, we made a night of it, when the extended version was released, guess what?  The corn was popped once more and we watched it AGAIN.

Although we have been scattered around the country, we all randomly throw in a great LOTR quote on Facebook, text or to their surprise, they will be receiving a new fun card from me!  =)

The "Po-Ta-Toes" stamp may be very limiting to those who will understand the meaning behind the "happiness", but it was definitely worth it to me, my family and my "geeky" friends to create.  So, in the wonderful words of Samwise Gamgee, "Po-Ta-Toes!  Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew."
