Fabulous Weekend!

Our group of ladies for the Girls on the Go Retreat 2014!!!!   We are missing 5 of the ladies of our little crew in this picture, but they were truly missed!   We had an absolute ball at the Retreat this year.  We kicked it off with a BBQ on Friday night and a mini surprise for my mom!  =)  Thank you to all of you who sent in a card for her birthday.  She absolutely loved it and had a great time reading them back at her hotel.  We totally made her day!

Saturday the festivities commenced with card making, sunglasses contest and a trip to the Wines of the San Juan and a lovely afternoon of painting peacock's with Melissa from Palette's and Paint.

Miss Janis won the Sunglasses contest, but everyone was totally decked out and it was definitely hard to choose!  We had peacock sunglasses, floofy fun glasses, patriotic glasses and even sunglasses with shot gun shells on them!!!!

Now, you can't have a card making weekend without some card swaps and let me tell you, this year's cards were AMAZING!  Ladies, you totally out did yourselves this year!

I am totally loving them and can't wait to use them!  I am horrible at making cards for myself to use and it is a total tragedy!  I mean, hello, I make cards and stamps for living and I don't send any!

Here are the results of our painting of the peacocks!  Melissa was a wonderful hostess and the Wines of the San Juan was STUNNING!   They even had peacocks roaming the winery while we were painting!  It was the perfect end to a wonderful Saturday.  The weather was amazing and the company even better!  Plus, my brother bought me a bottle of wine!  What a guy!

Sunday we ended the Retreat with a Champagne Brunch, more cards, marshmallow wars and lots of laughs.  This is the 3rd Retreat we have done over the years and these 5 ladies have been to every single one of them!  They even traveled from Arizona to be here, how amazing are they?!

Then we had our Retreat Virgins!  Talk about a fun group of ladies!!!!!   I cannot express enough how wonderful it was to see my two card making worlds come together.  Both of my groups mean so much to me and to see them all laughing, making cards and becoming new friends totally warmed my heart!  Ladies, you are beyond inspiring!

As spectacular as this weekend was, I could not have done it without the ladies who signed up for the Retreat.  Thank you!

My mother made all of the Bunky Bags for the Retreat and came in a week early to help out with all of the preparations!

My cousin Marty totally nailed the food for the BBQ!   She brought a brisket, chicken and a cake that my husband single handedly devoured!  Marty, thank you so much for all of your help this weekend!!!

Little Miss Kaitlyn was kind enough to come by the house the weeks before the Retreat to help put kits together and do all of the tedious chores I don't really like doing!  =)

And let's face it, I couldn't have done any of this without my kick ass killer husband!   That man is the most amazing husband on the face of the planet!  He cooked, he cleaned, he took out the trash, he created the perfect home and courtyard to host this Retreat and he even sneaked in a few kisses during the event!   He is so "The Man".

We took so many pictures of the Retreat and I have posted a bunch on our Facebook page, so please feel free to check them out and see all of the fun!

We will be announcing next year's retreat in the next couple of days, so please keep your eyes peeled!  You won't want to miss out on the fun!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
