Moms and Grandmas...Dads too!

Pretty much I have THE BEST mother in the world.  I know, you may think yours is better than sliced bread, but I am here to say that mine is like way better than even that!  She was, like born with cinnamon and sugar and lathered in butter, kind of bread.  Yep, she is THAT amazing!  Not to say your mom is sub-par so we will just keep my mom's little secret to our self so no one gets their feelings hurt, how about that?  ;)

Speaking of AMAZING mother's, you will have to check out this fabulous card I made yesterday!  I actually started by just making an envelope.  Sometimes I like just spiffying up envelopes, just for the heck of it.  I don't always have time to invest in a full on card so making a pretty envelope is like a quick shot of espresso!  Of course, this envelope turned into a full on day of card making!  Oops!

Husband Photo Bomb
Let's start with the pretty envelope complete with a husband photo bomb!  (Silly man!)  I love working on the Crumb Cake paper from Stampin' Up!  It adds a different feel to cards and it truly makes the white embossing powder POP!  I used the White Wash technique on the card and finished it up with Black Berry Bliss for the flowers and the "Sending you an instant hug" sentiment.  (Did I mention this is like my most favorite stamp?)

Now that yo have seen the envelope, can you blame me for not wanting to stop here?

Here is the finished card to go with my pretty envelope!  Isn't she just a beaut?  I used the same White Wash technique on card, but I added some of the Liquid Pearls to the middle of the flowers along with adding some little white dots around the flowers with a white gel pen.  For the sentiment, I used the Blackberry Bliss ink and sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake ink to really make the sentiment stand out.

And what could be better on a stunning fun card then by saying how wonderful Mom is?!

The stamps used in today's project are:
Sending You an Instant Hug

And just because we can't leave out Dad, I even have a similar stamp for all those dads and grandpas out there!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
