Play Time into Work Time...Or is it the other way around?

The last week or so has been spent almost entirely on the "business" end of things.  As much as I secretly enjoy plotting and planning, it was nice to be able to bet into the studio and make cards today!  I was even able to make THREE whole cards!!!!  Granted all three of the cards are for upcoming classes, but I would be lying if I said it wasn't a whole heck of a lot of fun!

The two cards I am sharing are for the Flower Soft Card Class we have coming up on September 4th and every time I use it, I fall more and more in love with it.  Although, I will admit, I haven't actually sent a card with the Flower Soft on it through the mail yet so I am not 100% positive on how well it holds up, but it looks stunning on my table!

For the first card, this is what I initially started off with.  I bought this stamp ages ago and just never got around to using it, but when I looked up at her today I thought she would be a GREAT candidate for some Flower Soft embellishments.

How fun is this?!  Just a touch of Sweet Pea Flower Soft to her hat and a few pearls and she is transformed into stunning Victorian lady!

And because it is hard for me to put a warm and fuzzy saying inside a lot of cards, I had to go with a timeless quote from a timeless woman for this gorgeous card!

Gotta love Liz!

It's fun to add a little surprise to the inside of a card and I thought this would be just perfect.

As I was posting the cards to Facebook, my Mother-in-Law said she loved all things Victorian and it just so happens that I had a fun lamp post that I could have some fun with and still kind of stay within the Victorian realm...or as Jessica pointed out, Narnia!

The original lamp post did not have a Christmas wreath, but with a quick circle trace, I made my own!   I absolutely LOVE the ultra fine Flower Soft and the Sage color worked quite well for the Christmas wreath along with some red Stickles to add a bit of color.  I was hoping to find a skinny enough ribbon to add a bow to the top of the wreath, but alas, I do not.  =(

Either way, the ladies are sure to enjoy playing with the new Flower Soft in a couple of weeks.  I know I have had an absolute ball!   Plus, I just placed my first order of Flower Soft to carry in the shop!   Happy Dance!!!!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
