Decorating the Tree

Good morning everyone - Jennifer here from Caffeinated Papercuts with a fun, last-minute Christmas card. I'm not the only one still working on these, right? Oh good. Well lucky for me there are some beautiful ornament stamps over at So Suzy Stamps so I grabbed my two favorites and got stamping!

Are you loving it? I'm loving it, and it's easy to just make a whole mess of these in under an hour. I'm big on mixing and matching my stamps & stamp companies to get the card I want, so I grabbed the pine bough from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment from Tim Holtz. Because hey, ornaments need something to hang on and the 'noel' fit perfectly in the space I had left over! :)

I used two different greens for my tree branches and just stamped and stamped until I had the look I wanted in the dark green, then came back with my lighter green and offset stamped over the top; intentionally not quite lined up to get some dimension and thickness. Time to hang the ornaments! I used the new-to-me Memento Luxe inks in red and blue to get an instant shimmer (though, ah, word of caution; the inks take a while to dry. Go get some coffee, read a book, then come back.)

After they were (finally) dry, I added my sentiment on the bottom with Versamark ink and the yummy Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. A little rounding of the corners and I was done! Nice and flat for mailing yet loaded with dimension from the inks and embossing.

Stamps Used:
Ornament Bird
Dangle Ornament (uh oh, they're sold out! You could easily use one of these instead!)

Before I go, did you know that So Suzy Stamps can be found on InstagramFacebookPinterest and Twitter?  Yes, you should join us there and find more inspirations and fun!!  And don't forget to check out the newest challenge!  You can see all the details for that HERE.
