Alcohol ink technique

Hi everyone! Monica here from Taylormadecards4u to share a card I made using alcohol inks and one of So Suzy new release stamps.

When I saw this new stamp, I just fell in love with it. It is a great stamp on it's own or to create a scene.  You can never go wrong with the color combinations when working with the alcohol inks. They are so very easy to work with and blend so well. They create awesome sky's as you can see from my card above.

If you have never worked with alcohol inks, I would suggest that you give them a try. They look fantastic with silhouette stamps, and So Suzy has so many of those to choose from.

Now when working with alcohol inks, you have to use glossy or non porous paper.  I like to use glossy paper, but it is very easy to smear your image on this type of paper. Make sure your background is completely dry and that you work with a steady hand when stamping your image. You may have to make a few before you get the perfect print, but as you can see, the end result is worth the extra effort.

I matted my image with black card stock and matted that onto some background designer paper from Momenta.

Before I go, I  wanted to share with you another card that I made using this stamp and a couple more from So Suzy Stamps collection. I didn't use alcohol ink on this card, but wanted to show you the different looks you can get with these stamps. I attached to the tree limb "Solid Heart Dangle" and added the sentiment "Je t'aime."

I would love for you to give this technique a try and share your results. We have a challenge going on currently, so this is the perfect time to try something new with So Suzy Stamps.

By the way, did you know that so Suzy stamps can be found on InstagramFacebookPinterest and Twitter. You should join us there to find more inspirations and fun!
