Popsicle Cheer

I cannot tell you just how much I am IN LOVE with our new ice cream stamps.  They have been so much fun to play with and color!  PLUS, they are just so super cheery!   Kim inspired me with her ice cream truck card that I just couldn't handle being left out so I decided to use the Popsicle stamp!

Several months ago, I signed up for the Online Card Classes for Copics and to be honest, I wasn't sure if this was REALLY something that I would ever get into.  Well, dang it, that Sandy Allnock just makes it look so stinky easy and I was hooked.  (Just don't ask me to color hair, because it is truly HEINOUS!)  Popsicles on the other hand, I own YOU, Mr. Popsicle!

I started out just by coloring and having a nice relaxing time while the hubby worked on New Year's Eve and after it was finished, I thought it would make a cheery and fun thank you card.

  • I finished coloring the Popsicle (Copic colors are below)
  • Did a bit of easy fussy cutting
  • Added a couple of dabs of Glossy Accents on the green sections of the Popsicle
  • Popped on a couple of Dimensionals to the back
  • Inked up Thank You with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  • Threw on some pink pretty sequins
  • And voila!  My card was finished!

It was super easy, super fun and it would probably look just as lovely colored with regular markers, colored pencils or a bit of water coloring fun!

As for the Copic colors, these are the ones that I used:

Blue Sections - B000, BG01, BG45, BG02 and I did the darker lines in BG05
Purple Sections - V05, V06, V12, V17
Green Sections - YG01, YG05, YG07
Pink Sections and my FAVORITE color combo - RV13, RV23, RV25
Popsicle Stick - E11, E13, E15

I also used a white gel pen to color in the polka dots in the pink sections.  I thought it looked cutesy!

I am dying to use the Ice Cream Cone stamp and do it up in Neapolitan colors, but I need to find some good Vanilla Copic colors...that I actually own!  So if any of you have any recommendations, PLEASE HELP A GIRL OUT!  =)

Ice Cream Cone that is BEGGING to be colored!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
