Lavender Suede Flower

The March challenge at So Suzy Stamps is…Watercolor!
During the month of March use “KIM10″ when checking out to get 10% off.

I love this ATC!  I like the way the background is complicated and still makes the flower pop.  I also appreciate how the black makes the card appear that it isn’t square.  The bright green ribbon as the stem works to make the stem vibrant and full of interest and dimension.
And yes…I used watercolor in a way that I love!  I created watercolor paper using the bokeh method for the flower and the ink pad method for the leaves.

  1. Card Base:  Product packaging.
  2. First Layer:  Zentangle pattern, colored with black Sharpie and green markers.
  3. Stem:  Green ribbon.
  4. Leaves:  Unity stamp, inked with Distress Ink – Soot, cut out larger than the stamp, crumpled.
  5. Flower:  Daisy Doodle from So Suzy Stamps, cut from watercolor paper, stamped with Elderberry, circles in petals colored with marker, center is a lavender suede-covered brad.
