Today is an exciting day for So Suzy Stamps as it marks our very first birthday!!
To kick off the festivities we have a special blog hop happening over here at So Suzy Stamps and the ladies are going to be showing off some special stamps that were off of our VERY FIRST PLATE! Woo hoo!
Before we get to the Blog Hop, we have more than just hopping going on around here. We have a TON of funness planned and it is just getting started!
You can head on over to our website to get ALL of the details and if you are on Facebook, Instagram or part of our new NING group, be sure and pop on over, because we have more contests going on over there!
Since I am first up on the blog hop today, let's take a look at one of my favorite sentiments from the first release, shall we?
I am a total sucker for creating sentiments that mean something to me and this one touches my heart. My husband and I did a 400 mile long distance relationship and were married for 6 months while we lived apart. We would drive 200 miles every Friday night to see each other for a few hours, stay at Motel 6, eat pizza from Pizza Hut and drive back home at 6am the next morning. Every week for an entire year! Talk about INSANITY!! Now we cherish every night we have together and when we are apart, we still spend an hour every night on the phone reliving those nights we were apart.
The card was super easy to put together and I love the alternating colors of the Peony stamp with the tufts from the Herb leaves peaking through.

Now let's head on over to the rest of the crew and see what lovely creations they have come up with for our special Birthday Blog Hop! Oh and it can't be a birthday without presents, right? Be sure and visit and comment on everyone's blog to be entered in a drawing to win a $10 gift certificate to So Suzy Stamps. The winner will be announced on April 22nd on our blog!
Don't forget to check out all of the other places that are hosting birthday festivities!

Oh my - what a sweet story! After being married for 11 yrs, hubby and I lived apart for 6 months (due to jobs, my dad's death and selling our home) it was hard and you're right, when your back together it means much more! Wonderful card!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!!! It is definitely a life lesson that encourages and demands strength in a relationship. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
DeleteHi Suzy, you know that the flowers are my favorite stamps. I was reading your love story, it is like a Nicholas Sparks one with the difference that this one is so true. Love is the meaning of life! Love your cards
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thank you, Mary!! (The flowers are some of mine too!) LOL I definitely have a keeper, that's for sure! Hugs!
DeleteHi Suzy!!!! I love your card. Really the sentiment goes well with your personal experience. It's a very romantic story!!! Above all the pizza, hahahaha. The Motel 6 will be always in your lives!!!!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs!!!!!!
LMAO I agree, Pilar! Thank you so much!!!
DeleteSuzy, what a sweet love story you've shared! My husband and I also had a long distance relationship for 10 months, seeing one another only on weekends. Then, once we were in the same city, he was gone for a full two months - I was in western Canada, he in the east! Glad those times are passed. Your card, with the beautiful flowers, and heart-warming sentiment, has planted a smile all over my face! Gorgeous!

Awwwwwwww, thank you! It is crazy what we will endure for the loves of our lives, isn't it?
DeleteAmazing card, Suzy! Love the sentiment! I totally feel it, too! My husband and I lived in two different continents for about a year, we were grad students then, and phone calls were really expensive, let alone flying to see one another! But true love survives all of these hurdles! Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!!!! Holy cow! Two different continents!??! Well hugs to both of you!
DeleteCongrats Suzy!!! good jobs from all DT.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I did the long-distance thing one summer. It was only for six weeks and we'd been married about 28 years. The distance wasn't as far either but it was fun. going back to school to get my MLS was a great gift.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your birthday. Best wishes for many more.
That is FABULOUS! It can definitely have its fun times! Especially when they miss you A LOT! LOL
