Hello everyone, Martha Lucia here celebrating that summer is coming with this amazing stamp, the Palm Tree. If you didn´t know, I live in Miami, FL and our official tree is the palm tree, so this stamp is perfect for this season and for Christmas too, because here in Florida we also celebrate Christmas with palm trees!!!

Today I want to share with you how to make this card using a combination of techniques. The embossing and watercolor. Don't worry if you don't have watercolor paper right now, I am using regular cardstock and you can use this too.

  • Palm Tree Stamp
  • Versamark
  • White Embossing Powder
  • Embossing Buddy
  • Heat Tool
  • Aqua Painter
  • Classic Ink in several colors or watercolors.
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Stamp Sentiment
  • Cardstock Whisper White and Baked Brown Sugar
  • Crackle Darice Embossing Folder
  • Clear Wink of Stella Brush

  1. Using Whisper White cardstock create the base of your card. Also cut a layer with the same size of your base to use as card front. You will work in this layer.
  2. Over the whisper white layer, stamp the Palm Tree Stamp using Versamark and cover it with white embossing powder. If you want you can use the embossing buddy to eliminate the static and moisture on your paper. Use your heat tool to melt your powder.
  3. Apply a touch of water inside of the embossing lines and give the color that you want. The embossing keeps the watercolors more contained. If you want you can use Classic Ink applied with aqua painters and mix your colors.
  4. Create your scenery. In my design I used a baked brown sugar  cardstock and cracked embossing folder to simulate the sand and calipso coral ink for the water.
  5. Stamp your sentiment.
  6. Cover your Palm Tree with Clear Wink of Stella Brush.
  7. Paste you layer over the card base using foam tape or dimensionals.

Thank you for stopping by and before you leave consider to participate in our June Challenge, ¨Congratulations¨ is the theme and you have all this month to make your creation.
