What do you say we meet Terri and see what kind of fabulous creations she has in store for us today!?
This is Terri from Waving My Wand. I'm
an avid scrapper, crafter, DIY'er... you name it. I'm also a designer for
Mountain Plains Crafters and Doubleclick Skittles. Besides crafting, I do
freelance work and write the occasional craft article. In July 2014, I
was the Guest Blogger and Show Photographer for the Craft and Hobby Association
Paper Arts Trade Show. I'm also married with a 13 year old son, am the
church pianist and work for an agency that serves children with disabilities.
==================================
I'm so excited that Suzy asked me to be the Guest Designer
today. I first discovered her quirky stamps through my pal, Jen from
Caffeinated Papercuts, also one of Suzy's DT members. Today, I've chosen
to feature the Fairy stamp in
two different ways. I loved this stamp from the start, particularly
because it's so versatile; Disney themed projects, birthdays, magic/fantasy
themes, and so on.
I've made this easy for you today. Stenciling and heat
embossing. Easy, peasy! Did I mention that I love that Suzy carries
lots of fun accessories? Yup. I'm featuring several on this
project. I'll try and make it quick for you. This card also
features the So Suzy Stamps sentiment, "Stardust Dancing"
First, I inked up my fairy and fussy cut her body and wand
only. I created fairy wings on vellum by inking with Versamark clear ink
and embossing with pink glitter embossing powder. She's popped up with
foam squares and the wings have 3 layers. Next, I stenciled my A2 card
with the bubble portion only of the TCW Sea Bubbles stencil that Suzy
offers. I added a trail of liquid pearls, and Skittles, both of which can
be purchased here. Don't you love that you can not only purchase amazing
stamps from So Suzy Stamps, but you don't have to run all over town for the fun
embellishments. She makes it easy to shop!
Here's a close-up of this pretty fairy. (Additional
Supplies used: Close To My Heart archival black ink, Zing Pink Glitter
embossing powder, Ranger liquid pearls Platinum Pearl, Ranger Yellow Stickles
glitter glue, Pink Sorbet Skittles from Doubleclick Skittles, Banana Skittles,
Memento London Fog Ink, Colorbox Archival Pinkolicious ink, sponge daubers,
Recollections white pigment ink, Tombow gray dual brush pen, Wink of Stella
clear)
For my 2nd Fairy project, I have an adorable tag. I've
stayed more with the traditional "Tinkerbell" colors on this
one. My Fairy has been inked with Powder Puff chalk ink in Tahini.
I love that you could use this tag for a MULTITUDE of occasions! I've
added my crafty best friend's daughter's name. This could be used as a
gift tag or an embellishment for a scrapbook layout. My friend has a
Disney album so this may very well end up as an embellishment in her
album. I've also created some focal points to make my fairy shine.
A ribbon topper made from May Arts Ribbons and pearl accents, which by the
way.... Suzy is selling May Arts Ribbons now and I couldn't be more thrilled!
I also made a little crown. After all, it looks to me
like my fairy is crowning a princess. What little princess wannabe
wouldn't love this? The crown was cut using a die and my Cuttlebug, and
popped up with foam squares. It also features the Blue Raspberry Skittles
Thanks so much for having me today. I hope you enjoyed
my Fairy projects. Come and visit me on FB, Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest.
I'm listed as wavingmywand at each site. Now, go do some shopping!
