Week Two with Rubeena - Two Cats in a Tree

Hello, I'm back for day 2 as So Suzy Stamps Guest Designer for the month of September with another set of cards.

Another stamp I thought was really fun to use was Two Cats in a Tree. It's great for creating a scene. The two cats sitting on the branch are too adorable - perfect for love or friendship cards.

I created two watercolor backgrounds using Distress Ink reinkers. One is to represent the night sky colors and the second to represent sunset colors.

I started with the purple and black background and stamped the Two Cats in a Tree with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Any gaps that I miss, I color with VersaMarker and simply heat set it again. I stamped the Audrey Hepburn sentiment onto white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat set with clear embossing powder. I took a square stitched die to cut right above the sentiment but was careful not to cut the whole thing. I fussy cut right around the sentiment. I added acetate sheet and foam tape and turned it into a shaker card, filled with The Ton's Vino Couture Mix (it's awesome that So Suzy Stamps carries some of The Ton sequins!)

For the second card, I used a bigger square die to cut a frame from a piece of black cardstock. I stamped With Love on the bottom part with VersaMark and heat embossed with coral embossing powder. I added foam tape behind it and matted it down over the scene.
