Best friends are extremely important.  As a matter of fact, you may have several friends who actually fall into the special category of being your bestie, but there will always be that ONE friend who you would go to extraordinary lengths for and who would do the same for you.  If you are fortunate enough to have more than one of those friends, be sure and give them all extra special hugs, because you ROCK!

Today we are going to talk about best friends, hearts and special Suzy snark!  In case you haven't heard, we are actually this week's sponsor over on the CASology blog and their cue card this week is HEART.  So be sure and enter their challenge to win a fabulous gift card from moi!

What better way to describe the love for your best friend than with a heart?

I started my card by swiping some Melon Mambo re-inker over a piece of glossy paper with a wipey.  Once it was dry, I used my white craft ink, sponge daubers and a pencil eraser to do a small bokeh effect over the Melon Mambo swipes.  Typically, I would heat dry my bokeh dots, but today I was doing a bit of coloring so I just set it aside to dry.

I used our Winter Snow Girl stamp and stamped her onto X-Press It paper and colored her with my Copics.

Dress: RV23, 25 and 29
Scarf: YG03, 17 and 67
Hair:  YR21, 23 and E34
Skin:  E000, 01 and 11

I also used the Polar White Flower Soft for some of the fur accents on her coat and hat!  I thought they were just the cutest and would definitely keep her warm!

I finished the card off with some sparkly glimmer paper from Stampin' Up, a special Bestest sentiment (it's what I call my best friend) and a few green hearts to coordinate with her outfit.

Now, I did promise you some snark, but I would hate to offend...ok, I actually don't have a problem with that and would be lying if I did.  ;)   HOWEVER, if you are easily offended, please do not scroll any further or at least, don't read the inside sentiment.  How is that?

For the inside sentiment, I used some of the extra glossy paper and heat embossed with black the snarky sentiment to get the point across to my bestest.  He loves me and totally understands and loves me for all of my snarky silliness!

If you are offended...I did tell you not to read.  Jus' sayin!

As much as I love my best friend, I have this HORRIBLE habit of NOT sending cards to people.  I like them too much so I keep them.  This one is actually hanging in my shop and gracing the wall of our Snarky Sentiments just under the Caution tape.  So, if you do have a card from me, CHERISH IT!  Not everyone gets one of those!   And Eric, this one is for you!  You'll just have to come and visit to see it!  he he he

Love you, Bestest!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

  1. Love it. I have the same problem with sending cards. You would think we would lead by example...

    1. I know, right?! I suppose I could send Eric this link so he could at least SEE the card, right? LOL

  2. Loving this card! Love the technique and especially love the snark!

  3. Awesome card Suzy! ^__^ Gotta admit, I am loving the snark! Very pretty background (I have never tried this technique so, thank you for sharing) and the snow girl looks adorbs! I love sending out cards.. (but to be honest I secretly suspect that it is because if I keep them for long, I might notice some error in them and then that'd haunt me for days!!! LOL!) *Big hugs* <3

  4. So cute catr! Love your background and colors.

Woo hoo! Comment time! I totally do a little happy dance every time a new one pops up!
