Vintage Books with a Splash of Color

One of the great gifts that Chris has in creating cards is the ability to take a simple stamp and transition it into something so much more!  I was awed and amazed when she posted this card using our new Vintage Books stamp.

This is the actual stamp and the above card was made using it, just enhanced!  I am pretty sure "enhanced" is an understatement and it's more like the stamp on steroids!  However, as daunting as it may look, it truly is as simple as doing a bit of coloring.

She used her Prismacolor pencils.
Cut out the stamp with a Spellbinders deckled edge die.
The whole deckled rectangle is coated with Versamark and clear embossing powder.
Judy Garland Sentiment is heat embossed with Wow! Copper Pearl.

I am pretty sure I am in love with that deckled rectangle die and I may have to order me one, because I love the effect!

For this card, Chris used Copics and you can see the difference between the two as far as coloring styles go, but both of them are just down right GORGEOUS!

To be completely honest, I never even thought of coloring this stamp and I think I need to do some serious playing!

You can check out more of Chris's work on her Instagram page!
