It is Guest Designer time and I am thrilled to say that Miss Jessica Frost-Ballas is here this month celebrating our anniversary! Jessica is one of these crafters that I sit back and literally "ooh" and "aah" out loud over. Her creations are always so cheery, her colors just grab you by the seat of your pants and make you want to break out every marker, ink pad, dye, paint or shake down your 5 year old and steal his crayons. (Hey, sometimes you NEED Carnation Pink.)
Although, I do not foresee Jessica beating up some kid for their art supplies, fortunately for all of us, she just worked her crafty magic on our Tulip Stamp. Before we get to her stunning cards, what do you say we introduce you to Miss Jessica!

Hi, I'm Jessica and I live in
the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with my husband and a herd of four-footed
companions. I've been crafting in one form or another since I was a child
but have recently been able to devote more time (and space!) to card-making and
I LOVE it! As a career musician, I've spent my life expressing my
feelings through music and now I spend hours teaching others how to do the
same. Music may be the ultimate creative outlet for others; however, I
believe that paper-crafting is MY true creative outlet. Crafting allows
me to play with colors and shapes visually in a way that music cannot. I
love experimenting with new techniques and I can't resist adding a little extra
sparkle to all of my cards and projects!

Good morning! Jessica
here with a trio of cards using the pretty Tulip stamp from So Suzy
Stamps! I wanted to show how you could use the same stamp with a variety
of techniques to create three different looks! All three cards use as a
similar color palette but that's about the only similarity! The first
card uses the "Joseph's Coat' technique, the second uses masking and
watercoloring with both distress inks and zig clean color real brush markers,
and the third uses some fun stamp overlapping to create a geometric
design! Please visit my blog for
more details on how I created each card! And thanks so much to Suzy for
inviting me to guest design for the Anniversary month of So Suzy Stamps!
I cannot wait to share the rest of my creations with you this month! Next
week is metallics and sparkles! ;)
