Hello Crafters! Guest Designer Kara here today with a birthday card you will want in your stash!
Let’s face it; you are always in need of a birthday card! There are so many times I get caught red handed without a card. I made up a few birthday cards so that does not happen. I’d love to share one. The base I am using is of 6.5 x 5
I embossed the yellow card stock with a Darice birthday folder. (photo 1)
I then placed a mat under the embossed cardstock.
I took the stamp I would be using… Age is merely the number of years the world has been enjoying you and placed this on the balloon. I wanted to be sure it was a for sure fit.
Using the MISTI I then stamped and with white embossing power, I heat set the stamped sentiment.
The finishing touches came with a white gel pen. I added little dots around the red balloon for some interest. I then took a few pieces of twine and made the strings.
I
hope this inspires you to make birthday cards so you too can be prepared!
My name is Kara Stainbrook from Western PA. I have 3 dogs who are my babies. I've been married to my love, Tim, for 14 years. He is the most wonderful man ever... He supports all of my crafts.
I have been crafting since my childhood. In 2008, I began my scrapbooking obsession . I enjoyed scrapbooking so much, but I lost touch with it. I always promised my husband I wouldn't get it to stamping because he already put up with my scrapbooking obsession.... Well.... That all changed. 2015 I entered into planner stamping and it is all downhill from there. I absolutely love stamping and I feel I love it thanks to the MISTI. That tool is a life saver! The stamping community is the best around. Always lifting each other up!
